Twenty-five chemists from Year 13 and Year 12 sat for one of the challenging chemistry competitions, the UK  Chemistry Olympiad 2023, conducted by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The Olympiad features challenging questions in chemistry based on real-world situations and involves lots of opportunity to develop critical problem-solving skills.

We are delighted to inform you that seven students achieved gold, 12 students achieved silver and six students achieved bronze awards in this prestigious competition. The competition mainly targets highly able Year 13 students but this year some Year 12s performed exceptionally well. They all deserve to be commended for their fantastic accomplishment!
